The emergency needs funds are benevolent funds donated by ordinary people desiring to assist those people affected by fire and/or burn injuries. The agency uses the funds to provide an immediate non-bureaucratic solution to problems experienced by some of the persons utilizing the burn unit.
Typical emergency solutions might include one-time immediate transportation needs, emergency or temporary lodging for a family member attending to their burned family member, special medications or other needs related to recovery from a burn injury.
The funds are used as a humane last-chance funding source for persons who through no fault of their own are in immediate need where small amounts of assistance can affect real solutions. The funds are carefully guarded and distributed on a case-by-case basis using a team approach with the agency Executive Director, Board of Directors and nursing staff at the burn unit playing a major role in the decision to extend help in this manner.
Please consider making a donation of any size for this humane work as even a small amount works wonders.
